| | | The picture shows a view of two of the (4) Old Phillips Mine and Mill Supply Company Paper Items in this lot. There are three 1932 letters and one 1941 envelope included in this lot. Only one letter was scanned because the others are similar. The letters pertain to a farm in Cranberry Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania. All three letters are to the same person and the envelope is to the same family name. One is signedv by the Vice President, Robert Phillips and the other two are signed by the Secretary and Treasurer J. E. Roth. Each of the letters has a nice letterhead. They picture a rail car probably for coal or other mining. There are names at the top and the rest reads as follows: Established 1863 Phillips Mine and Mill Supply Co. Manufacturers Of Mine, Mill & Coke Works Equipment Works South 23rd 24th Jane & Mary Steets Pittsburgh, Pa., U.S.A. The letters each measure 8-3/8'' x 10-7/8''. They are in excellent condition with folds from mailing. The envelope has some markes, opened on the side and figures on the back. |
