The picture below shows a larger view of this Unused ©1945 Salome Where She Danced Movie Advertising Ad Mat Mold. The ad mat is not dated but it is from 1945 when this movie was made. This is a mold in which lead is poured to create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer being made or printed like this.

The ad mat is like miniature 3-D poster and would look nice framed, or you could still use it and make print blocks from it. The print block would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. It is made of a thick compressed paper board. This admat has the title, actors names, and images of Yvonne DeCarlo and others from this movie. It is marked as follows:

SALOME
LOOT OF THE LAWLESS!
THE TALE THAT SET THE WEST ON FIRE!
WALTER WANGER PRESENTS
SALOME
WHERE SHE DANCED
TECHNICOLOR
YVONNE DECARLO – ROD CAMERON – DAVID BRUCE – WALTER SLEZAK – ALBERT DEKKER – MARJORIE RAMBEAU – EDWARD BROMBERG – ABNER BIBERMAN
AD MAT NO. 108

The ad mat measures about 2-3/4'' x 9-1/2''. It appears to be in mint unused condition as pictured.
