The photograph is not dated but it is believed to be from the late 1800s or early 1900s. The photo card also does not have a photographers name, studio name, city, or town. The photograph was found with a 1911 theatre annoucement card for Chiquita The Smallest Adult Lady In The World. The unnamed young lady appears to have an abundance of hair on her face with a low hairline. We imagine that her hair continued to grow and she most likely became famous because of it. We do not know for sure. She is wearing a necklace, a striped blouse, layers of skirts, striped stockings, and old Victorian shoes. She is posing with a stuffed chair with fringes. Another item is behind her. This Carte De Visite Photograph Card measures 2-1/2'' x 4-1/8''. It has a clear image and it appears to be in near mint condition as pictured. |
