Only a few items here are dated and the years that the others are from are unknown. They appear to be from the early 1900s to 1991. Included are many different items. All of these items for one price! To judge the sizes the postcard in the center measures about 5-1/4'' x 3-1/4''. These items appear to be in excellent to mint condition as pictured and described below. The items included in this lot are as follows: The first item in this lot is an unused ©1906 post card. It has an image of two young girls in dresses and bonnet hats with an American flag. It has an undivided back. There is a small tear at the loer right corner. It is marked on the front and back as follows: THE STAR SPANGLED BANNER O, LONG MAY IT WAVE 1646 COPYRIGHT 1906 THE ULLMAN MFG. CO., N.Y. COPYRIGHT 1906 THE ULLMAN MFG. CO., N.Y. POST CARD THIS SIDE FOR THE ADDRESS ONLY AMERICAN POST CARD “MOTTOES” SERIES NUMBER 56. PUBLISHED BY ULLMAN MANUFACTURING CO., NEW YORK. PLACESTAMP HERE DOMESTIC: ONE CENT FOREIGN: TWO CENTS There is a small old advertising premium booklet from the Madison Avenue Book Store, Inc. of 575 Madison Avenue, New York. It has advertising on the front and back. It has a (48) star flag on the cover and it is titled “OUR NATIONAL SONGS”. There is some edge wear and spotting to the cover. The (28) page booklet has the lyrics to the following American patriotic songs: THE STAR SPANGLED BANNER AMERICA or MY COUNTRY, 'TIS OF THEE HAIL COLUMBIA! TENTING ON THE OLD CAMP GROUND HOME, SWEET HOME COLUMBIA, THE GEM OF THE OCEAN BATTLE HYMN OF THE REPUBLIC SWANEE RIVER YANKEE DOODLE The next item is a 1954 IGA grocery store advertising premium “THE PLEDGE TO THE FLAG” comic booklet. The (16) page booklet has a History of the American flag on color comic book type pages. It begins with theAmerican Colonies and ends in 1954 with Dwight D. Eisenhower including the words “UNDR GOD” in the Pledge of Allegiance. On the back there is advertising for IGA stores with orange juice from the H. P. Hood Company and frozen dinners from Quaker State Foods. There is an early brass ribbon bar pin. This most likely held a political ribbon at one time. It appears to be made of brass. It has a right facing eagle with spread wings. There is a pin on the back but the bar that once held a ribbon is gone. There is a small brass plate with an eagle and stars. We do not know what this is from. It may be a part to a political item or a miniature for a colonial doll house. We do not know. Next there is a gold colored metal pendant charm or fob that has the eagle Great Seal. It has a painted shield and holes to mount (14) stones if desired. We do not know what this was from either. There is another brass or bronze metal pendant charm or fob. It has an eagle with spread wings. This may have been a fob from a key chain. There is a small red, white, and blue imprinted tin metal pinback button. It has (6) stars and it it reads: “JUNIOR AMERICAN CITIZENS”. It has some small scratches. There is a small model kit water decal paper. It has two decals on it that have an Uncle Sam striped top hat and each read: “YANKEE DODDLE”. There is an old hatchet paper sticker with a red, white, and blue ribbon on it. Next there are (4) red, white, and blue painted plastic cake decoration or food picks. These are identical and have the United States Great Seal The final item in this lot is the newest. It is a ©1991 Pin Back button. It was made in England. It has an eagle with stars and stripes. |
