The picture shows a view of the (2) Old Unused King Kong & I Walked With A Zombie Movie Ad Mat Molds in this lot. These ad mats are not dated but they are believed to have been made in the mid 1950s for previously released movies, 1933 for ''King Kong'' and 1943 for ''I Walked With A Zombie''. These are molds in which lead was poured to create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer being made or printed like this.

The ad mats are like miniature 3-D posters and would look nice framed, or you could still use them to make print blocks from. The print block would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. They are made of a thick compressed paper board. Both of the admats have image of King Kong, and one has an image of a Zombie woman from the second feature of one. The two are marked as follows:

To judge the sizes the top double feature ad mat measures about 2-1/2'' x 5-3/8''. These appear to be in near mint unused condition with a spot on each as pictured. Neither effects them for use in molding and one spot is on the outer edge outside the mold area. Below here, for reference, is a cast list from the two advertised movies:
