The pictures below show larger front and back views of all (9) Small United States Homefront World War II Related Paper Items in this lot. This is an accumulated lot with a variety of items. There is one duplicate item included here. This lot has the following:

There is a 1940s World War II advertising sales brochure from the Manchester, New Hampshire Union Leader newspaper for different deals or offers for the newspaper and many different magazines delivered to you. Many different magazines are listed and some are even pictured. The covers picture an image of a U.S. Navy Officer in uniform with a service star banner or flag in a window, as well as magazines and newspapers. As pictured, the brochure has a section cut out. For display purposes, when the brochure is closed or folded, you do not see the section that is cut out. The covers read as follows:

SALUTING THOSE WHO SERVE TO KEEP OUR READING TABLES FREE!
THE MANCHESTER UNION LEADER PRESENTS THE
THIRTIETH 30 ANNUAL BARGAIN DAY OFFER

There are two matching unused 1942 New Jersey Zinc Company war worker ink blotters. These have an April 1942 calendar on them, a war worker working, a background with Fuze Plugs, and several paragraphsof information. These cards are number #6 of a series.

Next is a May 9th, 1944 Boston, Massachusetts canceled window envelope that was from The Boston Edison Company. It has a 3 cent stamped postage. The envelope was opened at the top and there is no contents. On the back is a red, white, and blue image of the U.S. Capitol Building and an advertisement that reads:

PEOPLE OF AMERICA
BUY MORE WAR BONDS
AND SPEED VICTORY
DO IT NOW

There is an old World War II Axis cartoon envelope front (The Front Side Only). It features a red, white, and blue cartoon image with a world globe with the Americas, the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, stars, stripes, Uncle Sam with a scrub brush and bucket, along with Adolf Hitler of Germany, Benito Mussolini of Italy, and Hirohito of Japan. This envelope front was post marked from Framingham, Massachusetts on April 12th, 1950, and sent to the C & S Oil Heating Company, Inc. of Framingham, Massachusetts. The postage stamp had fallen off. It reads:

TIME FOR US TO CLEAN UP!

The next item that is included here is a two sided advertisement for United States Savings Bonds. This may have ben the back page of a small booklet. It has a colorful image of Miss Liberty holding a Treasury document and a box. Behind her is an American flag. The back gives bond prices and maturity values.

There is a ©1941 U.S. Arny “GENERAL ORDERS FOR INTERIOR GUARD DUTY” booklet. Unfortunately an ink pen had leaked on it. Ink is on the cover, and a small amount at the bottom edge of the pages inside. This booklet has General Orders, memo pages and two advertising pages for Acme Breweries of San Francisco, and Los Angeles, California. One states that “ACME BEER IS A GOOD SOLDIER TOO!” and the other, on the back cover has a radio tower over the Earth with “ACME BEER BROADCASTS A TOAST TO AMERICA’S ALLIES – BUY WAR BONDS”.

There is an unused World War II red, white, and blue “V” for VICTORY match book from the Diamond Match Company of New York City. It has all of the matches.

The final item in this lot is an unused World War II red, white, and blue “BUY U.S. WAR STAMPS AND BONDS REGULARLY” match book from the D.D. BEAN & Son Company of Jaffrey, New Hampshire. It has all of the matches.

All nine of these World War II homefront paper items included here for one price! To judge the sizes the two unused fountain ink pen blotters each measure about 8-7/8'' x 3-13/16''. These items appear to range from good to mint unused condition as described above and pictured.
