The picture shows a view of both sides of this Old Toy Pirate Premium Gold Plastic Treasure Coin. The coin is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1950s or 1960s. The coin may have been used for two different food premium or prize promotions. The first is as one of the coins issued in the 1950s for Armour Franks. The second is as one of the coins in a Cap'n Crunch Cereal Pirate Chest mail away premium in the 1960s. The coin is not marked except for a small star in a circle on the coin. This coin is hexagon shaped and made of gold plastic. On one side there is a Pirate image and the other has a cannon and eight stars. The two sides are marked as follows: 1000 TORTUGAS 1600 CAPTAIN NUTT PIRATE TREASURE The coin measures 1-1/2'' wide. It is in mint condition as pictured. |
