| The pictures show different views of both sides of the (2) Different Old Jack & Jean Solco Twins Advertising Premium Adventure Booklets in this lot. These booklets are part #1 and part #2 in a series of six adventure booklets for the story. You are instructed to ask your Milkman for all six booklets in this series. These are not dated but they are believed to be from the 1930s or 1940s. The panels of the strips look much like old non sports trading card artwork. These premiums were from a health food or drink called ''SOLCO''. There was also a mail away premium booklet to order to paste the story strips inside. That booklet is pictured above the order form where it reads ''It's Free!''. Besides ''The Thrilling Adventures of Jack and Jean'' comic strips, story (takes place in the Philippines), and premium book offer, these have advertising for Solco Health Food, a few recipes, and an offer for a cook book as well. Fully opened, each of these measure 25'' x 3-1/2''. They both appear to be in mint condition as pictured. Both have a few staple holes. They came closed with staples but they were carefully removed. |
