| | | | The pictures below show larger front and back views of this Colorful Old Cracker Jack Pop Corn Confection Lithographed Tin Mechanical Police Car Novelty Toy Prize. This prize is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1920s or 1930s. It is a police car with a policeman driving and a captured criminal in the back. The criminal tries to escape and he is captured again. This works by the back metal section sliding. This tin toy is made up of two lithographed die cut sections. The car, with the policeman in the front seat measures about 2'' long. Unfortunately it appears to be in poor condition with surface rust on the back as pictured. Also, part of a small piece on the back that would allow the car to stand up is missing. This is a pretty hard prize to acquire, and this one would make a good example until a better one comes along. |
