It most likely was worn in the depression years and possibly through World War II as well. It has seen plenty of wear. The shirt has (4) 1930s Cracker Jack premium iron on transfers applied to it. These are Cracker Jack premium transfers that you had to mail away for. Three of the transfers have advertising that says “BUY CRACKER JACK”. These include the following: United States Military Airplane GO / STOP Traffic Lights Pollyanna (parrot), Whiskers (cat), & Scamper (dog) Chicago Cubs Baseball Player (Catcher) The cloth tag on the collar reads: TOM SAWYER COLORS GUARANTEED JUNIOR SHIRT AGE 10 NECK The shirt measures: 14'' shoulder to shoulder, by 24'' tall, by 16'' wide. It appears to be in fair well worn condition as pictured. There is a hand sewn repair on the pocket, over all small wear holes on the collar, sleeve and on the front. There are several small spots on the front as well. |
