This figure set is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1950s or 1960s. The set most likely would have been sold as a novelty toy item in an old five and dime store. There are small magnets in their moving heads that attract them to kiss when near. The boy has a blue suit on and the girl has a red dress. These type hard plastic kissing dolls were manufactured by different companies in different sizes. The maker is unknown but they are marked on the bottom as follows: HK
MADE IN HONG KONG The figures with their base measure about 3-1/8'' tall. The figures work well and appear to be in good condition as pictured. The boy has a few melt marks on the back of his head and on the bottom, and the girl has a few small spots on forehead and hair. |
