| | | The picture shows a front and back view of this Old Unused Grand Army Of The Republic Veteran Parade Claremont New Hampshire Post Card. The photograph on the postcard was taken in 1891 but the year that the card was made is unknown. The photo is of a parade of Civil War Veterans marching in Claremont, N.H. in 1891. They are in uniform. Some are carrying their rifle, and some are carrying an American flag. Horses with wagons or carriages can be seen as well as a bank and a R.J.P. Pharmacy / Apothecary store front. There are men on the roof across the street including a Photographer with a camera on a tripod. The back of the post card is marked as follows: CLAREMONT NATIONAL BANK TREMONT SQUARE CLAREMONT, N.H. c.1891 VINTAGE IMAGEWORKS PUBLISHED BY STEPHEN SCOTT PHOTOGRAPHY CLAREMONT, N.H. The post card measures 5-9/16'' x 3-5/8''. It appears to be in excellent to near mint unused condition as pictured. |
