The picture shows a view of the cover of this Old Ricky's Adventures Atomic Age Children's Coloring Book. The same colorful image is on the back cover. It is of a boy in an atomic age design chair reading a book with a floor lamp of the same age. The image has the Artist name ''WILDE'' at the base of the lamp. This coloring book is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1950s or early 1960s. It was printed in the U.S.A. and published by the Saalfield Publishing Company of New York and Akron, Ohio. On the covers are seals from Parents' Magazine. The coloring book is filled with stylized images of children at work and play, animals playing, and many scenes of the 1950s or 1960s baby boomer age or era gone by. The coloringbook measures about 8-1/4'' x 10-7/8''. It appears to be in excellent or better condition. There is some paper shrinkage that has caused some wrinkling as pictured. It could easily be flattened with some weight. There are only two pages that have coloring. There is also the original 29c price and a 21c paper price sticker on the cover. |
