This particular book was inscribed inside, was given as a gift on Christmas of 1912. It reads: TO DOROTHY WITH LOVE FROM AUNT BESS. In the front, and in the back is the music and lyrics to the song “THE BROWNIES” by Lydia Avery Coonley with music by Frank H. Atkinson, Jr.. Throughout this book there are many, many colorful images of The Brownies, only a few that are shown below. Many are at play, at work, Halloween and Chjristmas holiday scenes, and much more. There are also images of children, and of Santa Claus as well.
