The picture below shows a larger view of all (25) Old Unused Cracker Jack Pop Corn Confection Pot Metal Toy Prize Doll or Young Girl Lapel Stud Buttons in this lot. Shown at the upper right is the back of one. This Cracker Jack prize does not have an ID number, but they are believed to be from the 1920s or 1930s. The maker is unknown. These were never inserted into Cracker Jack boxes. They had been brought home and saved for many years by a Cracker Jack Company worker or employee. The lapel stud buttons have an image of what appears to be a toy doll, or a young girl. The button backs were formed to go through a lapel button hole on a suit jacket. These had no finish applied to them.

Many of the pot metal or lead prizes were manufactured by the Tootsietoy Company of Chicago, Illinois. There were other companies, including from Japan prior to World War II. Some of these type prizes were made specifically for Cracker Jack, while others were made as novelties, bought in volume, and used as prizes by The Cracker Jack Company. Pot metal or lead prizes were some of the earliest prizes that were used in Cracker Jack boxes from the 1910s to the 1940s. Many of these type prizes or novelties were also sold out of old Johnson Smith & Company catalog as well as some other early novelty catalogs, also used in fortune telling sets, and some were also sold and used as board game parts. Many of these can be found factory painted, inked, or with no finish at all.

With this many you can resell them, trade them, use them in crafts, or make interesting jewelry necklaces, earrings, bracelets, charms, or whatever your imagination can come up with. All twenty-five of these for one price! The lapel stud buttons measure about 9/16'' x 3/4'' x 1/4''. These appear to be in excellent to mint unused condition as pictured.
