The pictures below show many larger views of this 1912 Royal Horticultural Society Pocket Diary & Note Book With Mechanical Pencil. There are many more pages to this book. This booklet contains much information for amateur and professional gardeners. It was edited by Rev. W. Wilks, M.A., Vicar of Shirley, and it was printed in London, England by Charles Letts & Company. The booklet has a slot on the side for a pencil or pen. We had found it with the included Gold colored (probably brass) working mechanical pencil. It has a black phone dialer ball on the end.

The cover has gold embossing with an advertisement for Geo. Williams & Sons, F.R.H.S.. There is an advertisement inside with ''The Welsh Disaster'' Railway Accident. There is a preface page by W. Wilks, Information about The Royal Horticultural Society with Council & Officers, many gardening instruction pages, ''Privileges of Fellows'', Fruit & Flower Shows, committees, local societies, ''Hints on Cultivation'', Insect Pests, weight and measure pages, currency exchanges, eclipses, daily wants dictionary, and much more...

There is a page with some old postage stamps on it, some memoranda pages, calendar diary pages for all of 1912 with about (200) days of entry notes written. There are ''Cash Account'' pages, pages for engagements, lent things, letter register, telephone numbers, and there i even a ''Self Opening Memo Tablet bookmark in the back, marbled inside covers, and gold page edges.

This diary notebook measures book 3-1/2'' x 4-5/8''. It appears to be in very good to excellent used condition as pictured.
