| | | The pictures below show a larger front and back view of the (2) Different Old Celluloid Palmer Method Writing Award Pin Back Buttons in this lot. These are not dated but they are believed to be from the late 1800s or early 1900s. One has a color image of a hand with a pen, another one has a gold star, and the third one has a quill pen, a banner and a wreath of leaves. Two of these have a paper insert in the back. These are marked on the front and back as follows: FOR MERIT PALMER METHOD WRITING THE PALMER METHOD BUTTON THE WINNER HAS SATISFACTORILY MASTERED THE FIRST 25 DRILLS IN THE PALMER METHOD MANUAL THE A. N. PALMER COMPANY NEW YORK - BOSTON - CHICAGO CEDAR RAPIDS, MI. The top pin pictured has a few tiny indents, a couple hairline cracks in the celluloid, dents on the back, and a missing paper insert as pictured. |
