(2) 1939 Signed Georgia Mae Yodeling Cowgirl Photographs
Autograph   Georgia Mae   Yodel   Cowgirl   Country   Western   Hillbilly   Music   Musician   Singer   Photo   Photograph   Historic
The picture shows a view of the (2) 1939 Signed Georgia Mae Yodeling Cowgirl Photographs in this lot. Both photographs have her with her guitar and hat. One has a nice old microphone. These two photos were in an old scrapbook at one time. The two photos are inscribed and signed to the same person. The two read as follows:

To Mrs. A. Mausolills
From
The Yodeling Cowgirl
1939

To Mrs. A. Mausolills
From
Georgia Mae
1939

We believe her full name was Georgia Mae Harp. The photos each measure 2-3/4'' x 4-7/8''. They appear to be in good condition as pictured. There is some rippling and there is some black scrap book paper on the backs.

On a hillbilly music website we found the following statement about music in 1941: ''One of those popular artists then was ''Georgia Mae, the Little Cowgirl with the Big White Guitar'' on radio station WBZ, out of Boston, Massachussetts.''.
