The picture below shows a larger view of this Unused ©1956 Mademoiselle Striptease Sexual Comedy Movie Ad Mat Mold. The ad mat is not dated but it is from 1956 when this movie was made. This film is also known as “PLUCKING THE DAISY”. This is a mold in which lead is poured to create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer being made or printed like this. The ad mat is like a miniature 3-D poster and would look nice framed, or you could still use it and make print blocks. The print block would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. It is made of a thick compressed paper board. The admat has an image of a scene with a Stripper silhouette, probably Brigitte Bardot, with other dancers or strippers and daisy flowers in the background. It is marked as follows: WITTY, WICKED AND WONDERFUL … AS ONLY THE FRENCH CAN DARE! BRIGITTE BARDOT FRANCE'S MOST LUSCIOUS EXPORT AS MADEMOISELLE STRIPTEASE STARRING DANIEL GELIN – BRIGITTE BARDOT IN “MADEMOISELLE STRIPTEASE” WITH ROBERT HIRSCH – DARRY COWL DIRECTED BY MARC ALLEGRET PRODUCED BY LES FILMS E.G.E. - HOCHE PRODUCTIONS DCA RELEASE The ad mat measures about 4-3/4'' x 3-5/8''.
