The picture below shows a larger view of all (6) Different Old Unused Blackinton Gun Competition Award Medals in this lot. We had acquired a collection of gun competition medals, and we believe that they had somehow came from the manufacturer’s inventory. Some may have been samples, some unassembled parts, and some for display. They do not appear to have been engraved or awarded to anyone. They have different combinations of top pins, medal bars, ribbons, and hanging medals.

When we acquired these many were loose, some were in display boxes, and there were many empty display boxes. They were each given a box to use, but before doing so, some colored foam padding material was removed, because it was all dried up, making a mess, and sticking to some of the medals. The clear top display boxes are marked from the Blackinton manufacturer, but there is some writing on the bottoms.
