The picture shows a view of all (5) Old Washington, D.C. Advertising Souvenir Cigarette Ash Trays in this lot. The top three pictured are identical except two have a white rim and one is gold. Each of them are marked 39;39;Washington, D.C. - The Nation39;s Capital39;39; and they have imprinted images of the U.S. Capitol Building, the Jefferson Memorial, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial, the Kennedy Memorial, Mount Vernon, and the White House. The maker is unknown. These are believed to be from the 1960s. Next there is an old lead or pot metal tray. There is a cracked area in the center of the soft metal. It has raised images of The U.S. Capitol Building, the Lincoln Memorial, The Washington Monument, and flowers. It is marked on the front and back as follows: Souvenir of Washington, D.C. No. 100356 M - 147 Made In Japan The last ashtray in this lot is believed to be a Syroco or Multiproducts item. It is made of a compressed or molded sawdust material. In the center is a raised image of the U.S, Capitol Building. Around the sides are acorns and oak leaves. It may have originally had a clear glass ashtray that went in the center. All five for one price! To judge the sizes the top three ashtrays each measures 5-3/439;39; wide. These appear to range from good to excellent condition as pictured. |
