| | | The picture shows all (6) Very Colorful 1940's Comic Strip Cream Of Wheat Cereal Advertisements in this lot. These World War II era ads appear to have been created by the same Artist / Illustrator, but I can not find any signature. Each has a very busy comic character scene with a different theme. They have images of Cream of Wheat cereal boxes, the cereal, and the black Chef as part of the ad and within the artwork as well. These have more white space around the image then is shown below. The first ad is entitled "CHARITY CARNIVAL TODAY!" It has different carnival booths including: Kissing Booth, Coffee & Doughnuts, Bingo, Fortune Teller, Roulette, and Hit The Dummy. The second ad is entitled "SNOW FOOLIN"' It has different winter scenes of cartoon characters skiing, sleding, and skating. The third ad is entitled "HORSE LAUGHS" It has different western scenes including cowboys, cowgirls, rodeo, guitar player, and more. The fourth ad is entitled "THE WHOLE HOPE FAMILY'S GOT THE SHIVERS" It has a very busy family scene with many characters. The fifth ad is entitled "WEDDING BREAKFAST FOR SERGEANT RIGGS AND THE GIRL E JUST MARRIED" It has a scene with Army men with others at a large table eating, of course, Cream of Wheat. The sixth ad is entitled "MONDAY MORNING SCRAMBLE AT THE TRACYS"' It has another very busy family scene at a large table, again eating Cream of Wheat. All of these for one price! Each ad measures 10" x 6" not counting any of the extra white space around them. All of the ads are in mint condition and ready for matting and framing. |
