| | | The picture shows a view of this Old Chief Engineer In Uniform Photograph Card. The photograph is not dated but it is old. It may be from the early 1900s. The back is blank. The image is of a Chief Engineer in uniform. We believe that he may have been employed by an ocea liner, but we do not know for sure. He could have also worked for a railroad. We just do not know. His hat is marked ''CHIEF ENGINEER'' in a wreath. His collar insignia has an ''LP'' monogram in a wreath. His uniform buttons also have writing and a design but we can't quite make them out. There are stripes (probably gold) on his sleeves as well. The chair he is seated in has a lion or dragon head by his shoulder and more carving under his hands. The photo card measures about 4-3/8'' x 6-1/8''. The photograph appears to be in excellent condition with only light scuff marks as pictured. The card is trimmed unevenly all around the edge. The edges could easily be trimmed evenly if desired. There is a single thumb tack hole at the top. |
