| | | The picture below shows a larger view of this Colorful Old Cracker Jack Pop Corn Confection Lithographed Tin Toy Prize Pointer Dog Spinner. The spinner is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1940s. It is a decision maker and will point to one who is “it” or a chosen one. This type of novelty advertising premium had been made and used in quite a few styles with promotional advertising, and often times they were used to find out who pays for a round of drinks at a bar or tavern. This one is die cut in the shape of a pointing dog and it reads: “HEADS I WIN – TAILS YOU LOSE”. There is an indent in the center for it to spin on. The Cracker Jack ID number for this prize is ZP-019, and it was by The Cosmo Manufacturing Company of Chicago, Illinois. The dog spinner prize measures about 1-5/8'' x 17/8''. It appears to be in mint condition as pictured. The back side is blank and clean. |
