| | | The pictures below show larger views of this 1933 City of Central Falls Rhode Island Board of Police Commissioners Promotion Letter. This letter was for the promotion of an Officer from Patrolman to a Sergeant. The letter is dated January 2, 1933. but it states that it becomes effective on January 3, 1934. Either the date is wrong or the promotion was to start a year from then. We do not know. The letter is types and signed by a John A. Quinn, Secretary. The letter is on City stationery or letterhead with a seal picturing a mand it reads as follows: CITY OF CENTRAL FALLS, RHODE ISLAND OFFICE OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS CITY OF CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. INCORPORATED 1895. JOSEPH CADORETTE, CHAIRMAN STANLEY NOWAK THOMAS A WALDRON JOHN A. QUINN, SECRETARY JANUARY 2, 1033 MR. GEORGE COUTURE, CENTRAL FALLS POLICE DEPARTMENT THE CENTRAL FALLS BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS AT A MEETING HELD THIS DAY IN THEIR HEADQUARTERS AT THE POLICE STATION HAVE PROMOTED YOU FROM THE RANK OF PATROLMAN TO SERGEANT.
