The picture shows all (3) 1950's Hawaii Tourist Paper Items in this lot. I do not see dates on these, but they were acquired by a traveling couple when they visited Hawaii in 1955. These are from before Hawaii became a state of the United States. The first item is a diecut advertising table tent. It is shown flat but the upper section of the man is die cut and when folded he stands out. It is from the NIUMALU CANOE ROOM of the NIUMALU HOTEL by the sea at Waikiki. One side reads "LITTLE JOE SAYS TRY MY FLOATING CANOE COCKTAIL" and the other side gives you phrases and works to learn "PIDGEN". The second item is a napkin from "THE CANE KNIFE BAR" at Maui Palms Hotel, Kahului, Maui. The third item is an unused sticker postage address label from BISHOP MUSEUM BOOK SHOP, Honolulu 17, Hawaii. To judge the sizes the advertising table tent measures 7" x 8-1/4". They are in near mint to mint condition. |
