| | | The pictures below show five larger views of this Old Painted Wooden Musical Jewelry Box With Mirrors and Dancing Ballerina Figure. The box is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1960s. It is marked “MADE IN JAPAN” on the bottom but the maker is unknown. The jewelry or trinket box is painted white with a young blonde haired girl on top with, musical notes, flowers, leaves and heart designs. It winds up and plays the Dr. Zhivago movie theme song: “LARA'S THEME”, or “SOMEWHERE MY LOVE”. In the center there are (6) mirrors applied (one each side and bottom and three in the back). On the bottom mirror there is a nice white design. There is a magnetic Ballerina figurine that spins and dances around on the bottom mirror when the song is playing. The insides of the four drawers are lined with a soft blue cloth. The jewelry box measures about 10-1/8'' x 6'' x 4-1/4''. It appears to be in excellent used condition. Also, the music wind up works well and the music plays clear and very well. |
