| | | The pictures show three views of this Old Cochituate Texaco Service Station Advertising Premium Money Clip Pocket Knife. This pocketknife is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1950s. Please note the old style telephone number. The pocket knife is from a town just west of Boston, Massachusetts. Looking on a map, there is a Gulf gas or service station at the location today (2012). It is made of steel and it has a painted Texaco sign logo. It has a knife blade and a nail file. The clip on the back could be used as a moneyclip or to clip it to a shirt pocket. It is marked as follows: TEXACO T REG TM COCHITUATE TEXACO SERVICE COR. MAIN & WEST PLAIN STREETS VICTOR TARICANO, PPOP. OLYMPIC 3-9791 STAINLESS STEEL JAPAN The closed money clip knife measures about 2-1/16'' x 1-1/4'' x 1/4''. It appears to be in excellent condition as pictured. The clear coating could be either removed or refinished if desired, but that will be up to the buyer to decide. |
