The picture shows all (5) Old Candy / Candy Bar Wrappers in this lot. Actually, the last one is not a wrapper (see below). The dates of these are unknown but they are believed to range from the 1930's to the 1950's. The lot includes: A 1-1/2 oz. Welch's Chocolate Covered Fudge Bar wrapper. It has been fully opened and flattened. It was from the James O. Welch Company of Cambridge, Massachusetts. It is clean and in excellent condition. There are normal creases from being on the candy bar. The hole at the bottom center is where it was glued closed. Next is a 1-1/4 oz. Lewis Chocolate Covered Peppermint Patty wrapper. This one was from Edgar P. Lewis & Sons, Inc. of Malden, Massachusetts. It is clean but has heavy wrinkling. Next is a 1-1/2 oz. Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bar wrapper. It advertises and pictures Hershey's Breakfast Cocoa on the back side. It was from the Hershey Chocolate Corporation of Hershey, Pennsylvania. It has heavy wrinkling as pictured. After those comes an old unused 1-1/4 oz. Uncle John's Maple Walnut Fudge glassine envelope wrapper. It is in mint, unused condition. The last one in this lot is actually not a wrapper. It is a small two sided header card that was once stapled on a Lewis Candies candy bag. It was from Edgar P. Lewis & Sons, Inc. of Malden, Massachusetts. It is clean and in excellent condition. To judge the sizes the Welch's wrapper as pictured measures 6-1/2" x 5". |
