The pictures show views of all (5) Old Paint and Ink Stamp Pad Tin Containers in this lot. The largest tin is for water color paints and the four smaller tins are for ink stamps. These are not dated but all of them are old. The paint lithographed tin pictures (8) different colorful birds, an Artists pallet and paint brushes, and one of the famous Concorde jet airplanes flying over an Earth globe. It has (25) of the original (35) paint colors inside and there is a paint brush. The paints are most likely still useable. The paints have the color names below them. It is blue with black print that reads as follows: SUPERB INDELIBLE OUTFIT FOR MARKING WASH GOODS The next tin is beige and gold with black print. There is an old ink pad inside that could use a cleaning. It has a very detailed fancy design and it reads as follows: NEW EXCELSIOR NO. 0 TRADE MARK SELF - INKING STAMP PAD ALWAYS READY FOR USE MADE IN U.S.A. SCRAPE OFF THE DUST OCCASIONALLY WITH A KNIFE TO INSURE A CLEAN INKING SURFACE. Next is a small tin that once held an ink pad. It is the size of an old aspirin tin. This one is believed to come from a childrens stamping kit. There is a paper sticker or label on the top that reads as follows: TRANSOGRAM STAMP PAD The last tin in this lot is another small old one about the size of an aspirin tin. It too is believed to be from a childrens stamping kit. It pictures a young girl and boy using ink stamps with an ink stamp tin for each of them. It is simply marked: MADE IN JAPAN To judge the sizes the largest tin measures 7-3/4'' x 4-1/2'' x 9/16''. These are in various used conditions as pictured. All of them could use a good cleaning. |
