Cracker Jack   Confection   Packaging   Label   Advertising
The picture shows this RARE 1950's Unused Cracker Jack Box Foil Wrapper. This wrapper is special for several reasons. First because it is very difficult to find, but the design is very different. It has an old 1920's - 1930's Sailor Jack & Bingo image. On the side panel are 1950's plastic prizes pictured. Also, this is the first package design that incorporated the popcorn and peanuts product in the background that resembles what we see today. Before this package the boxes were white. This 1-3/8 oz. wrapper is from The Cracker Jack Company in the 1950's. Borden bought the product in 1964. Cracker Jack is now owned by Frito-Lay Inc.. It measures 8-5/8" x 7-3/4". It is printed Reynolds Wrap Aluminum Foil and it would wrinkle very easily. This one is in near mint unused condition with only the slightest wrinkling.
