The picture shows a view of all (30) Mount Washington New Hampshire Cog Railway Advertising & Souvenir Items in this lot. There are a variety of items in this accumulated lot. Included are the following items:

There is an old advertising souvenir cigarette ashtray. It has a clear glass ashtray, with a cedar wooden base, and a picture of the Cog Railway from a postcard inside. We are not sure why, but there is a hole in the center of the picture. The wooden base is marked:

COG RAILWAY
MT. WASHINGTON, N.H.
555
MADE IN U.S.A.

There is an old unused advertising souvenir salt & pepper shaker set. They are made of cedar wood and they have metal caps in the bottom. The sides of these are marked:

COG RAILWAY
MT. WASHINGTON, N.H.

Next there is an old advertising souvenir embroidered cloth patch. It pictures the Cog Railway and reads as follows:

COG RAILWAY
MT. WASHINGTON, N.H.

There is an old advertising matchbook cover with no matches. It pictures the Cog Railway going up the mountain and reads as follows:

WORLDS FIRST COG RAILWAY
1866
VISIT TOP OF NEW ENGLAND VIA COG RAILWAY
MEMORIAL DAY TO COLUMBUS DAY
MT. WASHINGTON, N.H.

There are (2) small matching linen postcard type picture cards. They each have a colorful picture the Cog Railway going up Mount Washington. There is a paragraph on the back of each and the captions on the fronts read:

JACOB'S LADDER, MT. WASHINGTON COG RAILWAY
WHITE MOUNTAIN, N.H.

There are (7) 1983 tourist color photographs. These picture the cog train engine and railroad cars. Some have people in them as well.

Next are (8) color photograph slides. Three of these are ''PARKWAY PHOTO'' slides for tourists that are probably from the 1950s or 1960s. The other (8) slides were taken by tourists on their trip up the mountain. These eight are dated August 1984. The train and tracks are in the slides as well as a few of the Department of Interior survey marker at the peak of Mount Washington.

There is an old unused picture post card. It has an attached miniature card with it. These were at one time in a book of souvenir postcards.

The remaining (4) items in this lot are newer advertising brochures for the Cog Railway. These four brochures are from 2011, They are filled with colorful pictures and information about the Cog Railway from 1860s to the present.

All of these items for one price! To judge the sizes the wooden ashtray base measures 4-7/8'' x 4-7/8'' x 7/8''. These items appear to range from excellent to mint condition as pictured. Below here, for reference, is some additional information about the Cog Railway:

''The original ''little train that could'', the Mount Washington Cog Railway has been climbing to the summit of Mt. Washington, New Hampshire since July 3, 1869. The track runs along a steep, 3.1 mile long trestle whose maximum gradient is over 37%, making it the second steepest mountain climbing train in the world, second only to the Pilatus Bahn in Switzerland. The only railroad on Earth whose entire run is built on a trestle, the Mount Washington Cog Railway takes visitors on a timeless adventure to the summit of the 6288' mountain, 'home of the world's worst weather.''
