The picture below shows a larger view of this Unused 1930 Marble Game Scene Ad Mat Mold. The ad mat is dated 8 April 1930. This is a mold in which lead is poured to create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer being made or printed like this. The ad mat is like a miniature 3-D poster and would look nice framed, or you could still use it to make a print blocks from. Print blocks like this would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. The admat is made of a thick compressed paper board. It is difficult to see in the picture below, but this admat has an image of two children playing with marbles. It is marked as follows:

384
8-APR-30

The ad mat here measures about 2-1/16'' x 2-5/8''. It appears to be in mint unused condition as pictured.
