The pictures show a front and back view of this Old Childrens Multi Purpose Toy Sundial Wrist Watch. It is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1940s or 1950s. The watch may have been an advertising premium from a radio or television character, or some other childrens promotion. We do not know for sure. It is quality made. The watch section has a fold out sundial section for telling time, a working compass, a fold out magnifying glass, another fold out section with weather indicator paper, a North Star locator, a Morse Code, and a ruler on the red vinyl band. The watch slides off the band easily and it openes up to reveal a secret compartment inside. The watch section and buckle are bress and the back appears to be stainless steel. on the back it is marked ''PATENT NO. 159416''. To judge the sizes the wrist band measures 8-5/8'' long. It is in excellent condition as pictured. |
