This rice candy box is not dated but it is old. The candy is sold today, but I believe that we had received this particular candy box sometime in the 1990s. It is a product of and was made in Japan and imported by JFC International, Inc. of San Francisco, California. The box is sealed in clear cellophane. It pictures a Japanese child in costume, a cat, and a flower. Similar to Cracker Jack, it contains a premium or prize inside. In this case it is a free children's sticker. Four of the stickers are pictured on the box including a race car, a flower, an elephant, and a cat. We do not know how many stickers are in the series or what all of them may be. The box has the ingredients and import company address on one side and it is marked as follows: BOTAN RICE CANDY Net Wt. 3/4 oz. (21G) Free Children's Sticker Inside The candy box measures 3-7/16'' x 1-3/4'' x 5/8''. It is in mint unopened condition as pictured. |
