Junket   Dessert   Food   Advertising   Premium   Prize   New York   World's Fair   Cartoon   Character   Book.
The picture shows a view of the front and back covers of this 1940 Junket Desserts Advertising Premium Fun Book. This premium book has (24) pages filled with things to do and prizes to win. The cover pictures a boy and girl in front of a fun house ''Goofy Mirror''. In the backgound is a sillhouette of the 1939 - 1940 New York World's Fair with the Trylon and Perisphere in the foreground. This advertising booklet is believed to have been given out as a premium at the fair.

The booklet is filled with games, puzzles, tricks, recipes, and more. It starts off with a picture story. Next there is a ''Scrambled Flavors'' contest page where you could win a kazoo. Next are some party recipes and then ''Temple Telepathy''. After that there is a ''WhatÕs in a Whoozitnow'' story puzzle. Then there are two pages of jokes and riddles. There are then more recipes and a ''Shell Game'' to play. There is a numbers trick. Next is a ''What's the Difference'' cowboy puzzle where you can win a Repeater Water Pistol. Next there are two pages of ''Kandid Kartoons'' where you draw cartoon character faces.

There is then a ''Collect Arrowheads'' puzzle where you can win Arrow Heads, Then there is a ''How to Write Double Dutch'' page. There are more recipes and another trick. There is a musician puzzle where you can win a lithographed tin sliding whistle. It pictures animals. Then there are two fortune telling pages. There is a United States map puzzle, more recipes and a paper toy to cut out. There is then a postage stamp puzzle where you can get world stamps. There is a poem or song called ''Montezuma and the Puma''. Finally on the back cover (pictured) is an advertising character picture to color.

The items you can win by doing the puzzles inside are actually premiums that you had to mail for with the order form and stamps. This is a great advertising premium booklet! Closed it measures 8-1/2'' x 5-1/2''. Now about the condition. The book is written in with pencil, which can be erased. Many of the contest pages are filled in but the order forms for the premiums are not cut out. It has over all wear and tear from use, but it is complete.
