Frank Fielding: Or Debts And Difficulties is a novel written by Agnes Veitch. The story revolves around the titular character, Frank Fielding, who finds himself in significant financial trouble due to his extravagant lifestyle and gambling habits. He is forced to confront his debts and the consequences of his actions, including the possibility of losing his family’s estate. Along the way, he meets and falls in love with a young woman named Edith, who helps him to see the error of his ways and encourages him to make amends. The novel explores themes of responsibility, redemption, and the consequences of one’s actions. It is a classic Victorian era tale of love and morality, with a strong emphasis on the importance of living within one’s means and being accountable for one’s choices.
