The picture shows a view of the (2) Old Interior & Exterior Millinery Store Photographs in this lot. These are not dated but they are believed to be from the 1800s or early 1900s. The location and name of this old store are unknown. Both photographs do have damage as pictured, but they also have a lot of detail that may be of interest. The first photo is of the interior of the store. Much can be seen in this image. There is a man (owner?) and six women employees posing. There are hanging decorations, light fixtures, signs, and hats. All the way in the back is a ready made clothing department. The shelves are filled with all kinds of packages of sewing supplies, a few clocks, and cloth material. There is a fancy old cash register on the right side. The second photograph has an exterior view of the store with window displays of hats and dresses or cloth. Seven people can be seen in the doorway and windows. The old photographs each measure about 7'' x 5''. They are in poor condition with creasing, paper loss, and soiling as pictured. |
