| The pictures below show three larger views of the Old Hopalong Cassidy William Boyd Cowboy Hero Character Toy Revolver Gun & Studded Holster in this lot. The toy gun and holster are not dated but they are believed to be from the 1950s. There is one gun, and one holster. We do not know if this gun goes with this holster or not. They are as they were found in a large Hoppy and other Cowboy hero collection that we had acquired. The toy gun is made of a silver colored metal with fancy design with flowers, leaves, and rope outlining. It does not have the grip on either side. The outside of the gun is marked “HOPALONG CASSIDY” on both sides, and on the inside it is marked “GEO. SCHMIDT MFG. LOS ANGELES 21, CALIF. MADE IN U.S.A.”. The trigger appears to work sometimes. It probably needs a new spring to work correctly. The gun does open to use rolled caps. The holster is made of black leather with many metal studs, several red plastic jewels, and rivets. This left holster can go on any width belt. It is marked “CASSIDY”. The right one probably was marked “Hopalong”. Both of these Hopalong Cassidy items for one price! To judge the sizes the toy gun measures about 9'' long. They could use a good cleaning, and a few parts as mentioned above, but gun and holster appear to be in good used condition as pictured. |
