The pictures below show larger front and back views of this 1972 New Hampshire Governor Mel Thomson Political Campaign Advertising Post Card. This postcard was sent from Manchester, New Hampshire on September 6, 1972 to a Wolfeboro, New Hampshire mailing address. It pictures Mel Thomson wearing one of his political pinback buttons, and it advertises him as ''The Taxpayers Governor''. The back has a printed message asking for your vote on Primary Day, Tuesday, September 12th. The post card measures 5-1/2'' x 3-1/2''. It appears to be in excellent condition as pictured. The postage stamp had fallen off and there is a small bottom left corner crease that does not show up in the picture below.

Meldrim Thomson, Jr. (March 8, 1912 - April 19, 2001) was a Republican who served three terms as Governor of the U.S. state of New Hampshire from 1973 to 1979, during which time he became known as a strong supporter of conservative political values.
