| | | The pictures below shows a front and back views of the (2) Matching Old Sailing Ship OrnaWood or Syroco and Metal Book Ends in this lot, as well as a closer view of the red sticker that is on the back of one. These are not dated but they are believed to be from between the 1920 to the 1950s. They are made of a molded or compressed sawdust type material and they have metal bases connected with flat head screws. This is a matching set of ship bookends. We do not know the name of the ship. The wooden ships have full sails with their anchors on the bow. The ships are behind a dock or pier made of large timbers. There is some old felt cloth material on the bottoms to protect surfaces. The only marking is on the one sticker that reads as follows: ORNAWOOD MADE IN U.S.A. The book ends each measure about 5-3/4'' x 6'' x 3-7/8''. They appear to be in excellent condition as pictured. |
