| The pictures show views of all sides and inside this Colorful Old Automobile State License Plate Pencil Case. The pencil case is not dated but it is believed to be from the late 1940s or early 1950s. It is covered with lincense plates from different states in the United States. There are (49) plates pictured. One from each of the lower (48) states plus the District of Columbia. Alaska and Hawaii are not on the kit which dates it before 1958. The top also pictures two old cars and a bus driving on a mountain view road. The case comes with the contents pictured, a pencil sharpener and (5) old pencils. It is not known if these are original to the case, but they were inside when it was found. There is also a paper notice inside the drawer that reads as follows: ''This set does not include any component parts which contain lead or other substance of a harmful and injurious nature'' The closed pencil box measures 8-5/8'' x 3-5/8'' x 3-1/4''. It is clean and appears to be in near mint condition as pictured with very little wear. |
