The picture shows all (7) Small Old Political Items in this lot. The first item here is an old celluloid flag pin with an imprinted ribbon. It is not dated but there are (40) stars on the flag. There is a paper insert in the back. The pinback has some water spotting and the name "Will's" written on it. The ribbon is marked as follows: VOTE FOR MITCHELL The second item is an old New Hampshire celluloid pin back button. It pictures a house with a flag flying. It has rusting on the back as well as some spotting and wear on the front. It is marked as follows: 1853 - 1953 HILLSBORO July 17 - 18 - 19 PRESIDENT FRANKLIN PIERCE CELEBRATION Next is an old metal and celluloid button. There is a fancy metal frame attached to the center section. This had probably come off a ribbon or rosette pin. There are two points on the back and it is simply marked: AID Next is an old red, white, blue, & gold celluloid flag pinback button. There is a paper insert in the back. There are a couple small water spots. It has stars and stripes and is marked as follows: DON'T KNOCK BOOM FARMINGTON After that there is a small red, white, and blue ribbon. There is a metal section inside. It has a spot as can be pictured. It is simply marked: TAFT Next is a small blue enameled elephant pin. The pin section is intact on the back and it is in excellent to near mint condition. It is marked as follows: HOOVER AND CURTIS The last item in this lot is a rooster stud lapel button. Unfortunately the button section from the back is gone. It is made of lead or pot metal in the shape of a rooster and It is simply marked: COX To judge the sizes the Franklin Pierce button measures 1-1/2" wide. |
